ISHCMC - American Academy AP Program and AP Diploma

ISHCMC—American Academy has been authorized by the College Board to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses since the 2012-2013 academic year. The new AP Diploma is launched for the academic year 2023-2024!

Faculty who teach AP courses attend AP workshops and seminars around the world to gain valuable resources and insight into teaching these high-level classes. We believe that hiring and training high-quality teachers is paramount to offering your child the best university experience while in high school.

What is the Advanced Placement (AP) Program?

The AP program offers our students the opportunity to take university level courses during high school. These courses are approved by the College Board, and our students can earn university credit. We offer a range of AP classes in English, Science, Math, Social Studies, Technology, and the Arts. With the AP program, your child can study their passions, and prepare for university at the same time. AP courses also count for credits required for graduation, so your child can take AP classes and finish their high school diploma at the same time.

Advanced Placement Diploma

ISHCMC-AA is the first school in Vietnam to offer the new AP Diploma. 18 students are currently on track to achieve the diploma in 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) courses are university-level courses set by College Board. Students sit external end-of-year exams in each of their AP classes. Students who score 4 or higher often receive college credit for their AP courses.
